EastEnders fans up and down the country have been left in shock following the sudden return of the iconic Zoe Slater.
As the daughter of Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), Zoe hasn’t been seen on our screens for 20 years, but now she’s back.
Due to the fact audience members might not recall all the details regarding who Zoe is, we thought it would be best to take a trip down memory lane.
So without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about Zoe Slater.
Who is Zoe Slater?

Zoe is the daughter of Kat and Harry Slater. The man sexually abused Kat when she was 13, resulting in a pregnancy.
In 2001, a year after her arrival, Zoe discovered that Kat was actually her mum, not her sister. The bombshell was dropped in moment that’s still talked about today, which saw Zoe say ‘You ain’t my mother!’, to which Kat responded with ‘Yes I am!’, changing the game entirely.
Zoe had a string of failed love interests, including that of Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman). Her complicated relationship with him saw her embroiled in the murder of Den Watts, after her affair with Den and pregnancy came to light.

The character departed in 2005 after reconnecting with Kat. However, while she’s been away, Zoe’s relationship with her mum broke down once more, and they’ve been estranged ever since.
Suffice to say Zoe is in for a dramatic time in Walford.
She has a broken relationship with her mum, is a distant relative to other members of her family, and has also never met some of her siblings.
We can’t believe she’s back!
