AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)- NewsChannel 6 and our Giving your Best Partners are teaming up with Shepeard Community Blood Centers for an important blood drive.
Shepeard provides blood to more than 30 transfusion providers in more than 50 counties across Georgia and South Carolina.
To fulfill that mission, they need donors and lots of them.
Especially during the summer when people are traveling.
Your one blood donation will have a huge impact.
“You’re saving up to three lives. Those three lives, they’re right here in the CSRA. They’re our friends and family and you roll up your sleeve and we’re able to touch many lives with that one donation,” said President and CEO, Benjamin Prijatel.
The blood drive is going on until 6pm at 1336 Augusta West Parkway.
There’s also a special raffle giveaway for anyone who donates today.
