A man has been jailed for life after murdering his partner and his neighbour, beating a teenager unconscious and stabbing a dog in an ‘unprovoked’ attack on Christmas day.

Jazwell Brown was sat inside his home in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, when he picked up a kitchen knife and began stabbing his partner Jo Pearson, 38.

While on cocaine, he continued to attack her with a baseball bat leaving her with fatal injuries as a teenage boy who was in the flat desperately tried to pull him off.

Brown, 49, then stabbed the boy, who locked himself in the bathroom and dialled 999 as Jo’s dog Tilly was also knifed.

But Brown was able to force himself into the bathroom, and beat the teenager unconscious.

He then headed to a neighbours’ flat where he immediately attacked 24-year-old Teohna Grant with a knife.

Her partner Bradley Latter tried to intervene but was stabbed himself before Brown continued to fatally stab Teohna.

Brown fled the scene in his car before he was eventually stopped and arrested by the police.

While in custody, he remarked: ‘Not self-defence. Murder. It’s plain murder.’

Brown admitted two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

He also pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, and having an article with a blade or point at Luton Crown Court on 15 April 2025.

His lawyer, Charles Miskin KC, defending, said Brown was ‘profoundly sorry’ for his actions.

The Crown Prosecution Service said: ‘Our thoughts today are with Jo and Teohna’s families and loved ones who have suffered such unimaginable loss.

‘DNA from a baseball bat found in the kitchen and a knife recovered from Brown’s car pointed to these being the weapons he used in the attack. Blood from some of the victims was also on his trainers and clothing.

‘And while in custody, Brown made self-incriminating remarks, including, “Not self-defence. Murder. It’s plain murder”.’
