Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) faces another problem in Emmerdale soon, as Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) continues to be a thorn in his side.

As far as Joe is concerned, life would be better if Billy was no longer in the village. Recently, after learning that Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) was continuing to have problems with her ex, Joe confronted Billy and told him about a job offer away from the Dales.

Joe hoped that Billy would agree to the plan, leave, and then see his children at the weekend.

Frustratingly for Joe, Billy saw right through his idea and firmly stood his ground. He said no, told Joe to stay away from him, and then tipped him out of his wheelchair.

In upcoming episodes, Joe is out and about in the village and realises his car has been keyed. Quickly concluding that Billy must be responsible, Joe decides to teach him a lesson.

The next day, Joe enters his bedroom and panics when he finds someone has stolen his autoimmune suppressant drugs.

After Joe updates Sam (James Hooton) on his suspicion that Billy is conducting a low-level revenge campaign against him, Sam tells Joe to have it out with his enemy.

Unfortunately for Joe, his attempt to confront Billy at the depot ends terribly. When Sam then plants the idea that a replacement Graham Foster might help him get more respect, another plot starts to form.

Towards the end of the week, Joe meets up with Shaun, the dodgy guy who stabbed Caleb (William Ash) before the kidney operation.

Joe tells Shaun that he needs his help with teaching Billy a lesson, but what exactly will he do now?
