Most of the festivities celebrated in Mexico are usually accompanied by pyrotechnics, however, this is usually dangerous if it is used irresponsibly, in addition to having serious effects, both for people and for pets and other animals.
The effects of fireworks can cause: physical injuries; such as burns, wounds, eye injuries, hearing and breathing problems when inhaling smoke, even amputations, all of the aboveIt especially affects children and adults who are in charge of handling fireworks.

Furthermore it causes stress and panic to people with hearing hypersensitivity, such as autism, older people and animals, which have more sensitive hearing.
There is also the risk of causing fireswithout leaving aside the pollution to the environment. That’s why In several entities of the country the use of fireworks has been restricted.
States where fireworks are prohibited in Mexico
Mexico City: The use of fireworks in public spaces without proper authorization is prohibited by the Civic Culture Law, article 28, section VII, and the Environmental Law. The violation is punishable by a fine of between 2,280 and up to 3,260 pesos, 25 to 36 hours of arrest, or 12 to 18 hours of community work.
State of Mexico: Although the state government allows and regulates the sale and responsible use in general (Tultepec being an important center of this activity), some municipalities, such as La Paz, Nezahualcóyotl and Valle de Chalco, have temporarily prohibited its use on specific festivities, such as national holidays and Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Those who sell, distribute, burn or manipulate fireworks will have sanctions such as fines ranging from four thousand 348 pesos, or arrests of up to 18 hours.
Jalisco: In several municipalities, the detonation of fireworks outside permitted hours or without authorization carries considerable fines, although not necessarily a total ban. The fines range from two thousand to more than 51 thousand pesos, and arrests of 36 hours.
New Leon: The state has implemented general prohibitions on the use and sale of fireworks at public events and spaces, including national celebrations and pilgrimages, and other festivities.
Those who sell or use fireworks will have a fine that can range from eight thousand up to one million pesos, arrest for 12 to 24 hours or community service.
Puebla: In specific municipalities such as Tehuacán, the use of fireworks has been definitively prohibited. The improper use of explosives or pyrotechnic devices can result in sanctions that include fines ranging from $542.85 up to $6,514.20 pesos, arrests of up to 36 hours and the assignment of community work.
Veracruz: In the municipalities of Xalapa and Boca del Río, people who have fireworks and/or sell them and use them will be subject to fines ranging from $565.70 up to over ninety thousand pesosaccording to the Trade Regulations and the Criminal Law.
