CDMX. Sunday night was punk rock in CDMX with the arrival of the British musician who is celebrating almost 50 years of career and celebrated 70 years of life.

The concert took place this Sunday, November 30, before hundreds of attendees at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium.

After finishing the song, the Mexican singer asked a group of mariachis to enter, who came on stage and accompanied the singer to sing “Las Mañanitas” dedicated to Billy Idol. The gesture caused euphoria in the audience, who celebrated it with a standing ovation and joined in by chanting the song to continue celebrating the rock legend. At the same time, several fans waved red balloons in the air. “Billy, I know it’s your birthday. Happy birthday! We have a surprise for you tonight… Come on in guys! Happy birthday Billy, from everyone here in Mexico. May your 70th be the best year yet,” Daniela congratulated him very excitedly, while Idol moved his arms in gratitude.

“Las Mañanitas” were performed in Spanish and the mariachi also took the opportunity to sing “Happy Birthday” in English. At the end, Billy raised his arms and shouted, “Thank you so much! Fantastic, great.” Idol looked visibly moved.
