In “Hello, Welcome Back”, the artist also introduces the concept of “the door” as a symbol of transition, inspired by archetypal figures. These doors appear as guardians of change, asking us: What are we ready to leave behind? What are we protecting? What are we about to discover?
Mexico City, December 3 (However).- The Mexican plastic artist, Jorge Tellaechefeatures a new exhibition titled “Hello, Welcome Back” located at PALI Gallery and marks a significant moment for both the artist and the gallery by offering the public a space where contemporary art is experienced with emotion, authenticity and depth.
The exhibition is made up of 12 pieces, ranging from small to large format, a central installation (a table with plans) and a direct intervention on a gallery wall, creating an immersive and unique experience. With a vibrant and sensitive aesthetic, Tellaeche continues his exploration of “temples,” not as traditional sacred structures, but as representations of our inner architecture: places for introspection, contradiction, desire and transformation.
This exhibition represents “the emotion of returning to that space where you talk to yourself,” in the artist’s words. “The exhibition is called ‘Hello Welcome Back’ because I wanted us to understand from the beginning that these temples are places where we will constantly return, and the more we return, the more we know how to use them and how to live them,” said Jorge Tellaeche.

Practical spaces
The forms of these works—evoking the organic and the mechanical—offer spaces for empathy, reflection, and energetic decision-making. It is not about escaping reality, but about going through it with intention. These temples and gates are not silent retreats, but wild interiors where you allow yourself to fully feel, laugh, cry, and remember how to move forward.
In this exhibition, Jorge proposes understanding temples as practical spaces “where we can listen to ourselves, without criticizing ourselves and without comparing ourselves with what surrounds us. It is a space where our individuality is celebrated and it is a space in which, unlike how we know traditional temples that restrict and limit us, here it is the opposite, they are these spaces of chaos, of self-projection, where we can question ourselves, where we can forgive ourselves for not being what we think we have to be.”
“They are very fun paintings, with a lot of color, with a lot of sense of humor. They are paintings a little different from what I have been exhibiting, they are a little more abstract and playful, you don’t necessarily find a particular structure in all of them, but like many things happening and that is the idea of the mechanics of these temples, they generate different things, different colors, different brightness, there are certain contrasts of darkness and light,” the artist shared.
PALI Galería is located at Álvaro Obregón 6A, Roma Norte; The exhibition will be available until the end of 2025.
