Miss Universe South Africa Melissa Nayimuli has announced her engagement to actor and musician Mandla N.
This comes after her return from the international pageant, where she did not place.
Melissa is a former Miss SA contestant who made the Top 5 in 2020 and 2023.

On her Instagram account, Melissa Nayimuli shared a glimpse of her romantic engagement, which recently took place in Thailand.
In a video clip, the beauty queen’s partner, Mandla N, pops the question at a picturesque location, covered in red rose petals, candles, and feathers.
Melissa – the Miss Universe SA representative and filmmaker – wore a long, flowing gold gown as she happily obliged.
She captioned the clip: “Our favourite scene yet : Saying YES!”

Mandla N and Melissa Nayimuli were first officially romantically linked in 2023. According to Zimoja, they worked on several film projects together.
Mandla – the founder of production house, Black Brain Pictures – was previously in a long-term relationship with partner Tumi Masemola.
The duo – who share two daughters – were a part of the group Gang of Instrumentals. They also worked on several TV productions together.
