Jennifer Lopez appears to have permanently removed her tattoo in tribute to her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. The ink, which featured an infinity sign, an arrow, and both JLo and Ben’s names, was once worn in pride of place on her ribcage. However, since the former couple filed for divorce in August last year, eagle-eyed fans have noticed the absence of Jennifer’s tattoo. A source also recently told gossip site Deux Moi that JLo has covered up Ben’s name and ‘put a hummingbird’ in its place instead. The insider added: ‘Fans don’t know exactly when she covered up the tattoo, but they noticed the change in July/August of this year.’ (Picture: Getty Images)
This removal comes after it was reported that JLo and Ben’s children asked their respective parents to give their marriage ‘another chance’. For context, Ben shares three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner: daughter Violet and sons Fin and Samuel. JLo welcomed twins, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. JLo and Ben first started dating in the early 2000s after meeting on the film Gigli. They got engaged in 2002, but postponed their 2003 wedding due to intense media scrutiny. Sadly, they called off the nuptials and split in January 2004. Then, much to fans’ delight, they reconnected in 2021 and celebrated by hosting not one but two weddings: a private ceremony in Las Vegas, and a grander affair for friends and family, which they held at Ben’s estate in Georgia. Now, over a year and a half after Bennifer’s split, it’s been suggested that Jennifer may have moved on entirely from Ben. According to Heat World UK, friends of JLo and Keith Urban have been trying to work out if there is a spark between them. Nicole reportedly filed for divorce in September this year, after the pair spent the summer living apart. A source told Heat World: ‘JLo reached out to Keith as soon as she found out he and Nicole had split up, she wanted to offer her support and check in. A lot of people did that for her when she and Ben broke up, and it meant everything to her. It’s been more than a year now, and she’s still hurting over her divorce, so she’s very sensitive to anyone going through the end of a marriage. Keith, who sat beside JLo as an American Idol judge in the mid-2010s, was reportedly feeling ‘miserable’ and ‘lonely’ while on tour. However, the source claimed that Jennifer’s support was exactly what he needed. They said: ‘Keith has been so grateful for her support, a lot of people have shunned him in favour of Nicole, so JLo’s kindness is highlighted. As for their American Idol days, the insider said that Jennifer and Ben ‘always shared a lot of laughs,’ and that their ‘fun rapport’ is ‘just as strong as ever.’ According to the source, their friendship is so strong that ‘people are even starting to wonder if something more might have sparked.’ They continued: ‘It’s not all that outrageous to imagine these two together, in a lot of ways they would be a great match.
