Back in April 2023, Oreo set the internet ablaze with its April Fools’ joke, which featured a mocked-up image of Cadbury Creme Egg Oreos.
Hundreds of people flooded the comments demanding the biscuits become a reality as they were ‘the best thing they’d ever seen’ and the ‘perfect combination’ of snacks.
Flash forward to today, and many people’s chocolate dreams are coming true as Oreo and Cadbury have confirmed it’s finally happening.
Cadbury Creme Egg Oreos are going to hit shops in early 2026, featuring the ‘crunch and rich cocoa taste of an Oreo’ and the ‘indulgence of a Creme Egg’ with an additional layer of the iconic yolk-coloured filling.
As both the Oreo and Cadbury brands are owned by Mondelez International, the new biscuit is hilariously being dubbed ‘The Nepo Cookie’.
Oreo shared a look at the product on Instagram, writing: ‘Finally made it out of the drafts @cadburyuk.’
In response, people were quick to share their thoughts, with some still in disbelief that the product was actually going to be real.
Similarly, @chappyscravings wrote: ‘Omg yes, I can’t wait. Oreo and Creme Egg together, my two favourites.’
‘Take my money,’ begged @jofis.bakes, while @avidmuffin said: ‘FINALLY!! Yessss!’
Others thought the biscuits sounded ‘insane’, ‘unreal’, ‘delicious’ and ‘amazing’, with Mark Ball saying he’d like to ‘live on these for the rest of [his] life’.
Speaking about the new product, Nikita Yadav, the brand manager for Oreo, said: ‘The introduction of Oreo Creme Egg is the perfect pairing of two iconic brands to create a new snacking occasion at Easter.
‘This limited-edition biscuit is set to drive excitement in the biscuit category, adding basket spend as family and friends come together to celebrate Easter.’
And this isn’t the only new Creme Egg treat that’s been launched lately, as Cadbury also teamed up with Grenade to create a brand new soft core protein bar.

Inside the bar, the middle is made from ‘fluffy protein dough’, with the signature yellow-yolk coloured Creme Egg filling, and the whole thing is then wrapped in milk chocolate.
According to Grenade, it contains 12 grams of protein and just two grams of sugar and is ‘smooth, bold and unapologetically indulgent’.
The UK protein brand continues: ‘It’s a true Creme Egg and protein smash-up that delivers on taste and performance.’
They add that it’s the first of a new era of protein bars, which are ‘soft and satisfying’.
