The American West has always been an endless fount of inspiration. From the mountains to the prairie, expanses of wilderness rouse our wonder, embolden the spirit of adventure, and energize our imagination.
In honor of that paradigm Bulova and Stetson have partnered to create a pair of 39mm automatic timepieces that couple western design with contemporary watchmaking. Both watches, known as the Bison and Longhorn, are constructed in stainless steel, and capped with a domed sapphire crystal. Each are powered by a Miyota 82S0, 21-jewel automatic movement, which is visible through an exhibition case back adorned with a printed silhouette of an iconic Stetson cowboy hat and bordered by a laurel wreath.

The Bison The model celebrates the noble buffalo as a symbol of the western frontier with a stamped silver-tone dial American bison medallion contrasted with black antiquing. The watch paired with an alligator grain black leather strap for a touch of understated elegance.

In a more playful design, the Longhorn adds gold-tone to the dial with a relief of a Texas bovine skull set against a textured floral pattern. The iconography evokes a motif from traditional Western-wear. In keeping with the aesthetic theme, the watch comes on a top-stitched, brown leather strap for some added Western flare.
A portion of proceeds will benefit the Bulova Stetson Foundation, which funds education, arts, and accessibility programs, as well as organizations supporting veterans’ initiatives. “For 150 years, Bulova has been dedicated to technological firsts and designing timepieces that capture the American spirit,” said Jeffrey Cohen, president of Citizen Watch America. “Partnering with Stetson is a natural extension of our shared history and values—a beautiful blend of precision timekeeping and rugged, accessible American style. We are proud to honor our families’ combined legacy, not just through these exceptional watches, but through the vital work of the Bulova Stetson Fund.”
