It wasn’t that long ago that fired Michigan coach Sherrone Moore was gushing about his wife, Kelli Moore. He called her his life partner and best friend.
The University of Michigan fired Sherrone Moore on December 10. “U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately. Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member,” said University of Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel. “This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior. Biff Poggi has been appointed head football coach in an interim capacity, effective immediately.”
Moore was detained by police in Michigan on an investigation into possible charges.

When he was named Michigan’s coach in 2024, the university mentioned Moore’s wife Kelli. “He and his wife, Kelli, who were married in 2015, are the parents of two daughters: Shiloh and Solei,” a university news release said.
In 2018, Moore gushed about Kelli in an anniversary post on Instagram. “Happy three year anniversary to my life partner and best friend. So proud of you and all your accomplishments,” he wrote. “I am so happy and blessed beyond measure to call you my wife as the man upstairs leads us to live through him. Love you soo much and excited about what the future holds for us!”
In 2017, Sherrone gushed about his wife again, posting a photo showing him kissing her head. “3 years ago today I made the best decision of my life to ask this beautiful woman @klenzmoore to be my wife! She is my life partner, rock & my best friend! I love you!” he wrote with that post.

Kelli Moore has her Instagram page set to private. The profile reads, “Jesus follower, Coach 〽️oore’s wife, mom, and PA-C.”
Sherrone Moore spent “six years as an offensive staff member for the Wolverines” before becoming the head coach, the release said.
