Cher is reportedly solely focused on her son’s recover a week after he suffered an overdose.
The 79-year-old Believe hitmaker’s youngest son Elijah Blue Allman, 48, was rushed to hospital in Joshua Tree, California, after overdosing on the morning of June 14.
Days later, TMZ has reported that Allman was discharged from hospital during the week, and is now at home where he ‘continues to recover’.
The outlet added that Cher’s ‘only concern right now is for her son’s well-being’, while she has been doing all she can ‘to get him the help he needs’.
It is currently unknown what drugs Allman was using or what condition he was in during his hospital stay, but it was previously reported it was receiving ‘the best care possible’.
A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson told DailyMail.com in a statement last week: ‘On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at about 1:25pm, deputies from our Morongo Basin Station responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Cambria Avenue, in Landers, for a male subject acting erratically.
‘When deputies arrived, Elijah Allman, 48, was being evaluated by emergency medical personnel.
‘Deputies located drugs inside the home, and Allman was transported to the hospital.’
They confirmed that the investigation was ‘ongoing’, while a source also said at the time that he was ‘very lucky to have survived’.
In the past, Allman has spoken publicly and candidly about his drug use.
In 2014, he admitted that he started smoking weed and taking ecstasy when he was just 11, which led to some ‘close calls’ and brushes with death.
He said that he used drugs while ‘looking to escape all the things in [his] past’.
‘[Heroin] kind of saved me,’ he told ET. ‘If I didn’t have that at that point, I don’t know what I would have done … You may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it, and then get help.’
Allman added: ‘I did have some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality … I always kind of kept it a little bit safe, but you never can do that.’
In 2023, Cher filed for a conservatorship to manage her son’s finances, claiming he was ‘substantially unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues’.
Court documents filed detailed that Allman was entitled to regular payouts from a trust set up by his late father.
However, Cher was worried that the money would be used to fund his drug habits.
Nine months later, it was confirmed the Allman and the pop icon – who also has son Chaz Bono, whom she welcomed in 1969 with then-husband Sonny Bono – had reached a private agreement.
His attorneys, Avi Levy and Steven Brumer of Cage & Miles, LLP, told People: ‘The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition.
‘This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today.’
