Kaizer Chiefs & Orlando Pirates: Shared targets

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are in a race against each other to secure these signatures.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are currently undergoing major squad revamps.

However, they face stiff competition – from each other – in the bid to sign these players.

CHIEFS AND PIRATES LINKED WITH MBULE

Outbound Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Sipho Mbule is linked with Chiefs and Pirates.

He was recently offered to Amakhosi. Now, new Pirates coach, is interested in signing him.

“I like very much Maeme from Mamelodi Sundowns very much. He is a top player, a fantastic player. If the team (Marumo Gallants) can afford him, I’ll be pleased to have him. And one other player I love about his style of play and I know that his behaviour is not so good, but I think it’s a question of management,” Abdeslam Ouaddou stated on 94.7’s MSW with Robert Marawa.

So, both Chiefs and Pirates are linked with Mbule yet again. Now, he is set to leave Sundowns following exclusion from their FIFA Club World Cup squad. Ultimately, Amakhosi could sign him if they accept the offer for him from his agent Mike Makaab. However, now the Bucs are interested so a move will have to be made sooner rather then later.

OKON ATTRACTS INTEREST FROM AMAKHOSI AND BUCS

Rising Bafana Bafana star, Ime Daniel Okon, is close to joining Chiefs.

“At the moment it’s believed that personal terms have been agreed but there is a fee that Chiefs apparently have to pay to SuperSport United. It’s like a compensation fee and it’s believed to be around R5 million. It’s a fee because he is a development player and the mother team has to benefit from him,” the insider stated on SNL.

However, they face stiff competition from Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, according to the same highly reputable publication.

BIG CHANGES COMING TO SOWETO GIANTS

Therefore, a total of NINE Chiefs player departures are on the cards. As mentioned, FIVE players have been released. Whilst, these FOUR Chiefs players are heading out of Naturena.

Additionally, a total of NINE new players have been spotted with Chiefs. Four new signings are set to be unveiled from Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and PSL rivals.

Finally, these are the players Nasreddine Nabi wants to sign.

In contrast, Pirates have released FOUR players – Innocent Maela, Miguel Timm, Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako. Meanwhile, the Bucs have signed EIGHT new players.

WHICH OF THESE PLAYERS DO YOU THINK SHOULD JOIN CHIEFS? WHO SHOULD JOIN PIRATES? WHO ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE CHIEFS AND PIRATES SIGN?
