If you were not sure if a Nintendo Switch Online membership is for you, the company has a deal just for you going on now.
A free seven-day trial is now available for both new and returning users who want to play against their friends, experience games from their favorite classic Nintendo systems and much more.
Here’s how to take advantage.
Expand Your Nintendo Switch’s Horizons
Playing video games is fun, but playing them with others is often even better.
Of course the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 offer the chance to play with as many as four people on one system at the same time, but what about when your friends are all spread out across the neighborhood, city or beyond?
That’s where a little thing called the internet comes in handy.
A Nintendo Switch Online subscription offers just such an opportunity, but that’s not all.
Classic Nintendo and Game Boy Games Galore
The Nintendo Switch Online subscription brings access more than 150 games from the NES, Super NES and Game Boy.
That includes every Super Mario game you can think of, Dr. Mario, Tetris, Excitebike, F-Zero, Tecmo Bowl, Donkey Kong Country, Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and more.
Other classic titles include Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden, the original Punch-Out featuring Mr. Dream, Killer Instinct, Earthworm Jim 2, multiple Kirby games, Star Fox and Super Punch-Out.
To recall 1990s on-the-go fun, classic Game Boy titles include Donkey Kong Land 1, 2 and 3, Metroid II, Super Mario Land 1 and 2, Wario Land 3 and multiple Mega Man titles.
A Switch Online subscription also includes the ability to save data in the cloud, earn My Nintendo Platinum Points and access limited-time trials of select games.

Subscribers can also listen to video game tunes on the Nintendo Music app for their smart device, and owners of the Switch 2 have the option of chatting online while playing.
For an additional fee, users can buy the Expansion Pack to get access to games from the Nintendo 64, SEGA Genesis and Game Boy Advance (plus GameCube for Switch 2 owners), but that is not available via this trial offer.
