Less than a week after an immigration agent shot and killed US citizen Renee Good as she was trying to leave a protest, ICE yanked a woman out of her car as she tried to get to the doctor.
‘I’m disabled, I’m trying to go to the doctor up there, that’s why I didn’t move,’ the woman screamed, as officers pulled her out of the vehicle in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The woman had been driving near where a protest was unfolding, trying to reach a doctor’s appointment.
After driving up and asking officers to drive through, the ICE agents smashed her windows, used a knife to cut her seatbelt and pulled her out, arresting her.
Nearby, protesters were detained, and some appeared to be pushed to the ground as officers broke up the demonstration.
The actions of immigration officers have been slammed by Trump’s most loyal supporters – including far-right podcaster Joe Rogan.
‘Are we really going to be the Gestapo? ‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?’ Joe asked on his podcast.
Tensions in Minnesota are boiling over, as ICE has infiltrated Minneapolis and is arresting many.
Renee Nicole Good, 37, was killed a week ago in her car after allegedly using her 4×4 to block agents from conducting a large-scale deportation operation with protesters nearby.
Video taken just before the deadly shooting showed officers swarming, telling her to ‘get out of the f***ing car’ and as she appeared to turn away and follow their orders.
Then, an officer fired three shots, hitting her in the head, causing her to crash into a telephone pole.
The agent who killed Good has been named as Jonathan Ross, who reportedly has ten years of experience in law enforcement.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem defended him, saying: ‘He followed his training, and we will continue to let the investigation unfold into the individual.’
Renee’s mother Donna Ganger, told the Minnesota Star Tribune that Renee lived in the Twin Cities with her partner.
‘That’s so stupid’ that she was killed, Ganger said, after learning some of the details of how she died.
‘She was probably terrified.’
Ms Ganger denied that her daughter was part of a protesting mob clashing with ICE agents, stating: ‘She is not part of anything like that at all’.
‘Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,’ she said.
‘She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.’
