If money is tight in Janurary but you’re very much in need of a little treat, it’s time to cash in some Tesco Clubcard points.
From today, shoppers signed up to the supermarket rewards scheme will be able to triple the value of their vouchers at six new chain restaurants, meaning you can get a bargain meal out simply by doing your food shop.
High street chain favourites including ASK Italian, Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo Italian, Zizzi, and Las Iguanas are taking part in the scheme.
This means that every £0.50 in vouchers would be turned into £1.50. For example, a £10 voucher would now be valued at £30.
They join existing partner PizzaExpress, who introduced the initiative into its restaurants in 2025.
Data from Tesco Clubcard’s 2025 Unpacked report, released at the very beginning of this year, showed that Eating Out was the most popular Reward Partner category for Clubcard members last year.
Only a few years back, Tesco customers could frequently exchange and triple the value of vouchers at various reward partners. However, the supermarket giant reversed that policy in 2023. So, members will likely be happy to hear about this change of heart.
Tesco Group Membership & Loyalty Director Shama Wilson tells Metro: ‘We hope today’s news will help lift the nation’s spirits, with Clubcard members now able to get even better value from their vouchers as they enjoy a meal out.’
‘The move to triple voucher value at PizzaExpress before Christmas was really popular with our Clubcard members, so we are delighted that five more of our existing Reward Partners are moving to triple value from today and that our new Reward Partner Las Iguanas is joining us at triple value.’
Select Tesco Clubcard users have just over a month to earn £50 in extra points
Tesco has brought back its popular Clubcard Challenges scheme, which will be running until February 23.
As part of this, select Tesco Clubcard holders may be able to earn up to £50 in bonus points over the next few weeks.
The promotion gives loyalty card members spending challenges they could complete to win points. Each challenge is personalised, based on a shopper’s previous spending habits, and involves buying branded items.
Eligible customers are able to pick up to 10 challenges to choose from, featuring a selection of brands they buy regularly.
The maximum amount of Clubcard points up for grabs that count towards your Tesco shop is 5,000 (equivalent to £50). This is what you could earn from completing all 10 challenges. During a regular shop, £1 gets you one Clubcard point, with 100 of these adding up £1 in Tesco vouchers.
To find out if you can take part in the Clubcard Challenges, keep an eye on your inbox and look for an email invitation from Tesco.
How do I convert my voucher into a code?
If you find yourself officially craving a margarita pizza and a Diet Coke STAT, here’s what you need to do.
Log into your Tesco app, head to the Clubcard section, and choose your preferred Reward Partner in the Eating Out section. Then, select the amount of Clubcard vouchers you’d like to exchange.
You can then request your vouchers in the app, or indeed in your Clubcard account online.
When you’ve completed your order look out for a confirmation email. A second email containing your code will then arrive shortly after. If you placed your order in the app, the code will appear in the My Rewards section within 15 minutes.
On arrival at your restaurant of choice, show the code on your phone or in a printed email. And enjoy!
As part of the reward scheme, Clubcard owners can also double their value at BrewDog Bars, turning every £0.50 in vouchers into £1.00.
Outside of the food and drink industry, some of Tesco Clubcard’s most popular Reward Partners include Virgin, Disney +, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Fitbit, and Mercure Hotels.
