At the start of 2026, lives changed when residents from Coronation Street and Emmerdale were caught up in a multi-vehicle pile up.
The dramatic Corriedale crossover event kicked off when Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) crashed into a car that was being driven by the Swains from Coronation Street.
Other characters from both soaps caught up in the crash included Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), Cain and Moira Dingle (Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb), and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard).
Billy sadly died in the ordeal, after becoming trapped in the minibus before it exploded.
The episode also confirmed that John had been murdered, with fans later discovering sister Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) killed him after injecting a drug into his system.
A storyline for Cain began, as a doctor revealed he needed tests to see if a newly discovered mass is cancerous.
We also saw the return of Emmerdale’s Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), who has supposedly been dead since 2020.
Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) was arrested by Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and we also met a woman called Jodie (Olivia Frances Brown), who we now know is Shona Platt’s (Julia Goulding) sister.
Secrets and lies that swirled around the crash scene are refusing to stay hidden in Weatherfield, as this new trailer sees multiple people still struggling to deal with what went down on that dramatic night.
As we approach Billy’s funeral, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) is battling to bury his guilt. He’s being pushed to breaking point with the knowledge that he took a man’s life and, haunted by his conscience, we see Theo at Billy’s coffin, expressing how sorry he is for leaving him to die.
When a door slams, Theo races out and realises, to his horror, that someone has heard his confession.

Elsewhere, Shona continues to get to know long-lost sister Jodie. It’s been a bumpy ride for them both so far, but how long will it be until we learn what secrets Jodie is hiding?
And what does she suddenly want from Shona?
Meanwhile, after sending a note to Carla Connor (Alison King), begging to hear her out, Lisa hopes they can rekindle their relationship. Will it work?
There’s also our beloved Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) to worry about. Having taken then rap for Carl who was driving the night of the crash, she prepares to learn her fate after being charged with causing death by driving under the influence.
Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) knows she’s lying, but Debbie remains determined to cover for Carl. We know that Debbie is actually Carl’s mum, not his sister, which explains why she’s so determined to protect him.
Has Debbie’s fate been sealed?
