DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) is currently tasked with unpicking the mess that Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) have left behind in Emmerdale.
The forced labour and drug operation has been discovered, as has Ray’s murder. Celia’s whereabouts is unknown as Ray disposed of her, but the police are making some huge progress.
The aftermath of the end of the pair’s grip on the village has seen Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) take the brunt of things, accused of human trafficking after Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) planted evidence in her home at the behest of blackmailer Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
DS Walsh has a job to do and has been playing hardball with the locals, accusing both Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) of Ray’s murder, and Moira for the slavery crime.
But not all the pieces of the puzzle have been found yet and there are some huge question marks still looming – like what happened to Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards)?
Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is in for some huge news when a discovery is made in that area.
DS Walsh realises just how vital Celia is in finding these puzzle pieces and makes it her new mission to find the Lady of the operation.
DS Walsh approaches Paddy with this important update as it directly impacts the case of his missing dad.
She makes it clear that she intends to find Celia in relation to Ray’s murder and hopefully have many more questions answered to boot.
This feels like a giant leap forward for Paddy. Now that the police are on the hunt for Celia properly, he feels one step closer to finding his dad.
As DS Walsh leaves, Paddy gleefully updates Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) on what he’s learned – that he thinks maybe Bear will be coming home after all. Is he in for some major heartbreak?
