Brooklyn Beckham was reportedly so mortified by footage from his wedding dance with mother Victoria Beckham that he banned guests from sharing it — and he and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham are the only two people who have access to the video.
One day after Brooklyn, 26, took to social media to share a lengthy message explaining his estrangement from his family, a source close to the family told People the couple would be “mortified” if the footage ever sees the light of day.
“Brooklyn and Nicola are the only ones who have access to video,” the source revealed. “It’s an extremely embarrassing moment for them and it would not be good for Brooklyn’s mental health to see this circulating online. It’s one of the most humiliating moments of his life and he doesn’t want it to be seen by the world.”
On January 19 Brooklyn explained in part that on the eve of his wedding, “my mum was waiting to dance with me … She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Brooklyn and Nicola Beckham were left devastated on their wedding night
Several outlets previously reported Nicola, 31, walked away from the dance floor “in tears” on her wedding night after singer Marc Anthony reportedly introduced Victoria as “the most beautiful woman in the room.”
“Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding,” a source told People in May 2025. “”Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up … Victoria Beckham!'”
The offense was part of a series of events that contributed to the ongoing discord between the two camps. Nicola and Brooklyn have also accused Victoria of agreeing to design a wedding gown for Nicola to wear, and then backing out at the last minute.
The pair got married in front of approximately 600 guests in April 2022. Guest included the entire Beckham family as well as Serena and Venus Williams, Victoria’s former bandmate Mel C, and Eva Longoria.
Brooklyn Beckham ‘Won’t Reconcile’ With His Family
On January 19 Brooklyn insisted he “won’t reconcile” with his famous family members, including Victoria, dad David Beckham, and his siblings.
“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” he also wrote via social media. “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.”
Brooklyn also accused both of his parents of making up — and sharing — false stories about him and his wife to the press. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he added.
