A drink driver was caught downing whisky while joyriding a stolen forklift – but was arrested when he drove straight towards a police car.

After passing a roundabout, he was met by a police car heading in the opposite direction, which spotted him clutching a bottle of whisky at the controls.
North Wales Police said two PCs were on patrol in Colwyn Bay when they spotted the driver holding the booze.
The force said: ‘An intoxicated male decided to take a forklift without the owner’s consent and go for a drive.’
