A new season of the hit BBC sitcom, Things You Should Have Done, has arrived, and fans are already loving it.

The series is created by Lucia Keskin, who is best known as internet personality and comedian ChiwithaC, and follows a fictionalised version of the star as she attempts to just about get through the trials and tribulations of mundane ol’ life after she is suddenly orphaned.

The synopsis reads: ‘Get a job! Pay the bills! Clueless Chi is forced to fend for herself when her parents die. To get her inheritance, the ultimate stay-at-home daughter has to step it up.’

The six new episodes tick off several more tasks that Chi tries to complete, from therapy sessions to GCSEs to finding love, to varying success.

The Bafta-winning drama, also starring the newly-added Bridget Christie, Selin Hizli, Jamie Bisping and Daniel Fearn, has earned plenty of adoration from critics and fans alike for its dry wit and absurd humour.

Reviewing the ‘stay-at-home’ daughter’s onscreen offering, The Guardian declared the series ‘shows flashes of brilliance’ in their three-star review.

‘If you want to see a horse – and a cleaner – being liberated to the sound of Spanish one-hit wonders Las Ketchup, boy have I got the show for you,’ the review added.

‘Lucia Keskin is a master of deadpan comedy in this off-the-wall sitcom,’ the i added about the first season in a four-star critique.

‘Things You Should Have Done may not be everybody’s cup of tea but I’ve just watched all of series 2 in one go- unique; laugh out loud funny; surreal but with an undercurrent of sadness & grief,’ Betty Redondo added.

‘Things You Should Have Done is absolutely nuts, but it’s written beautifully,’ Graham echoed.

Discussing what to expect from the new season, Lucia described it as ‘tragic, toxic, tacky’.

Things You Should Have Done is streaming on BBC iPlayer now.
