Charlotte Jordan has sparked a wave of admiration from fans and former Coronation Street co-stars after unveiling a bold new hairstyle that many believe symbolises a fresh chapter following her exit from the ITV soap.

The actress, best known for playing Daisy Midgeley on the cobbles, debuted a striking, blunt brunette bob on Instagram, leaving behind the long, flowing locks viewers had become so accustomed to seeing on screen.

Sharing a stylish video montage, Charlotte confidently showed off her new haircut while modelling a chic outfit with one very special guest making an appearance.

Captioning the post, she wrote: ‘New year, same extra moi because I am never the problem. (Olive agrees). ✨✨✨’ Olive, Charlotte’s adorable dog, could be seen nestled in her arms during part of the video, quickly stealing hearts alongside the actress’s glam transformation.

The post didn’t take long to set social media alight, with fans flooding the comments section with praise. Messages included: ‘Omigosh your hair is beautiful 😍’, ‘Obsessed with this hair’ and ‘Wow 😍 Need to see you back on screen again 🙌.’

Many viewers were quick to tell Charlotte just how much they miss seeing her on Coronation Street, where her character Daisy became one of the show’s most talked-about figures.

Charlotte’s former co-stars were just as enthusiastic. Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, was among those showing love, while Sally Ann Matthews, known to fans as Jenny Connor, kept it simple but impactful, commenting: ‘Smokin x.’

Others branded the look ‘fierce,’ echoing the confidence and edge Charlotte brought to Daisy during her time on the soap.

The star’s recent Instagram post sees her show off her new hairdo once more. This time though, she’s asking for her followers thoughts on her hair because she changes her mind about it ‘approx every three working days’.

So real.

‘Firstly — are we all agreed leopard print is a neutral? And secondly…am I keeping or growing out the bob? I change my mind approx every three working days’, the star wrote in the caption.

Charlotte received plenty of kind messages from her followers, who were all in agreement her new bob is an absolute slay.

Charlotte’s Coronation Street journey and exit

Throughout her stint on Coronation Street, Charlotte’s character was rarely out of the spotlight.

Daisy Midgeley arrived as a sharp-tongued barmaid but quickly evolved into a complex, vulnerable and often polarising character. From dramatic love triangles to darker, issue-led storylines, Charlotte’s performances earned widespread praise and cemented Daisy as a modern Corrie icon.

Her decision to step away from the show marked the end of a significant era, both for the actress and for viewers who had followed Daisy’s turbulent journey.

While exits are never easy, Charlotte previously made it clear she wanted to explore new opportunities beyond Weatherfield, a move many actors make after leaving such a long-running and demanding role.

Now, fans can’t help but speculate that her dramatic new hairstyle reflects that sense of reinvention. Hair transformations have long been seen as symbolic, and for Charlotte, the sleek bob feels like a confident statement: she’s moving forward, embracing change, and doing it entirely on her own terms.

Though she may no longer be appearing on the cobbles, it’s clear Charlotte Jordan hasn’t gone anywhere in the hearts of Coronation Street fans. Charlotte departed her role as Daisy in May of 2025, after more than 5 years starring in the ITV soap.

With continued support from her former castmates and a growing audience eager to see what she does next, her future looks just as bright and glamorous as her latest Instagram post.

Whether this new look marks the start of exciting new roles or simply a moment of self-expression, one thing is certain: Charlotte Jordan is firmly in her main character era, and fans are more than ready to follow her next chapter.
