Sorisha Naidoo has just made African reality TV history again!
The beloved Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star has become the first and only SA housewife to appear in every single reunion since the franchise’s launch in 2021.
THE REIGNING QUEEN OF SOUTH AFRICA’S REUNIONS
The glamorous businesswoman and reality star officially holds the record for most consecutive reunion appearances on The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD), and she’s not slowing down.
With her fifth appearance set for the Season 5 reunion airing on Friday, 4 July and 11 July 2025, Sorisha has now cemented her place as the franchise’s most consistent and iconic figure.
While many cast members have come and gone, Sorisha’s quiet strength and commanding presence have made her the glue of the show. And with her longtime co-star Nonku Williams missing from this year’s reunion, Sorisha now stands as the solo record holder for most consecutive reunion appearances across all African Housewives franchises.
Nonku left the show due to personal reasons and growing tensions that affected her mental well-being. When asked how it feels to be the Housewife with the most reunion appearances, Sorisha shared her thoughts.
“I feel kinda sad, to be honest, because Nonku always jokes that she’s “Miss International” and that she’ll be here for many more seasons. I really felt like she should have been here. It’s a bittersweet moment for me.
“I want to throw it in her face that I’ve made all five, but she’s not here for me to do that! We’ve been together from the very beginning, and I feel like she needed to be here for this one,” she told Showmax.
‘I DO NOT RUN THE SHOW’: SORISHA
Sorisha joined the show in its first season back in 2021 and has since become a fan favourite. Her calm demeanour, larger-than-life style, and effortless elegance have captured the hearts of viewers across South Africa.
She’s often accused of “running the show”, a claim she finds amusing.
When asked, she said: “First of all, I do not run the show! I’m just a cast member like everyone else. Those comments always crack me up; they’re so ridiculous. But if I did run things and had to make a cut, I’d say Minnie. I just don’t think she was the best fit for this group at this time. That’s just me being honest.”
