Chiefs are looking to have a better season than their last and are attacking the market like that is the case!
Chiefs reportedly have five new signings
If reports are to be believed, Chiefs have already signed at least five players, with increasing links on others. Orlando Pirates duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane are believed to be their earliest signings. The two defenders will join on a free transfer. There are also rumours that Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro and Cape Town Spurs’ Asanele Velebayi are Khosified.
The latest out of those players to sign is Durban-born playmaker Ethan Chislett. This publication reported that the former Port Vale star turned down Motherwell from Scotland and Wigan of England for Chiefs. It is also understood that he has signed a two-year deal with an option fro a third. It was also reported that he was set to arrive in South Africa on Thursday to begin life as an Amakhosi player.
Chislett arrives for medical
Now according to FARPost who first broke the story, Chislett did, indeed land in South Africa. The 26-year-old then went straight to the Chiefs training grounds at Naturena for his medical.
“Ethan Chislett arrived in South Africa this morning, Thursday, to complete his much-anticipated move to Kaizer Chiefs. The attacking midfielder landed at OR Tambo International Airport and was greeted by club staff before being whisked directly to the Naturena Village, where he is expected to finalise his transfer to the Soweto giants. Chislett is scheduled to undergo his medical examination at the Kaizer Chiefs Village this morning, a crucial step before finalising the intricate details of his transfer.” Wrote the publication.
