A couple of new left-backs could arrive at Kaizer Chiefs for next season’s Betway Premiership season.
The first report was Paseka Mako, and he will be announced imminently. New information says Nkanyiso Shinga is close to putting pen to paper on a contract with a Kaizer Chiefs logo on it.
According to FARPost, Shinga’s club, FC Alverca, and Kaizer Chiefs have agreed on a transfer deal before the new season.

The 25-year-old left Mzansi seven years ago after learning the ropes at the esteemed KZN Academy. The Durban-born player went on to play for seven different clubs in Portugal: Setúbal U19, Estrela U23, Vitória FC U23, SC Covilhã, Juv. Évora, Pinhalnovense, and Alverca.

“Kaizer Chiefs have reached an agreement with Portuguese top-flight club FC Alverca to sign Nkanyiso Shinga,” FarPost reported. “The transfer is pending a medical examination and the finalisation of personal terms.

“Kaizer Chiefs have been persistent in securing an agreement for a transfer fee with the club. Indications suggest that the club is eager to have the player available before they travel to the Netherlands for pre-season,” the report added.

Should Shinga’s deal officially conclude, he will compete with Paseka Mako and the newly promoted Kabelo Nkgwesa. At the same time, Happy Mashiane and Bongani Sam face uncertain futures.
