RICHMOND/COLUMBIA COUNTIES (WJBF) – Investigators with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Miranda Myers and 17-year-old Cameron Howard for the road rage shooting incident on June 29th on I-20 at mile marker 196.
Two people were injured when their vehicle was shot at while they were driving on I-20 Sunday afternoon.
The driver told police he was driving on I-20 westbound when a blue Tesla, driven by a white female (Myers), pulled up beside him. He said a black male passenger (Howard) pointed a gun out of the window and fired 5 to 6 shots at his car.
When officers with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrived, they found a gray Toyota Camry with multiple bullet holes.
The Teslaleft the scene, taking exit 194, Belair Road, in Columbia County.
Both Miranda Myers and Cameron Howard were each charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Howard was also charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.
Both suspects are currently in the Charles B. Webster Detention Center for their charges.
One victim was shot once in his ankle and the other was shot once in her left shoulder.
They were transported to Doctors Hospital after the incident and are listed in stable condition.
No word on what sparked the incident.
The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is available currently.
