A train station which serves millions of passengers each year has halted all services to and from the station today.
Damage to an overhead wire has prompted Birmingham New Street Station to cancel all services, affecting multiple rail companies.
Routes to Coventry, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Rugeley are facing severe delays, cancellations and diversions.
And the cancellations will last the rest of the day, according to National Rail, but tickets are being accepted on buses on reasonable routes.
CrossCountry, Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway, Transport for Wales and West Midlands Railway are all affected.
