Thank god for Violet Chachki and Gottmik’s podcast, to be honest, because in that long drought we have between All Stars 10 Drag race episodes we need something to fill the gap. You can always count on this pair to be upfront with exactly how they feel, and if the podcast comments calling out Roscoe’s Tavern viewing parties wasn’t dramatic enough now Violet Chachki has blasted her Drag Race season seven sisters Trixie and Katya for behaviour she deems “so weird”.
It’s a bit of a revelation considering the lot of them have always seemed close and pally, but here’s what Violet Chachki has said about Trixie and Katya in the midst of this latest bit of Drag Race drama.
The context
Trixie and Katya famously now host their very popular The Bald and the Beautiful podcast, where they have everyone utterly buzzing with the announcement news the pair of them are going to be rewatching season seven. It’s where the pair of them met and became stars, and it’s also of course the season where Violet Chachki clinched the crown.
The pair said they wanted to share more about what it was like to make the season, whilst getting comments from other queens in that cast – including Violet, of course.

Speaking to Gottmik on the No Gorge podcast Violet Chachki hosts with her bestie, Violet Chachki explained how Trixie and Katya didn’t reach out to her directly but instead she was reached out to by one of their production team. Violet explained “[Trixie and Katya] were so weird. They had their assistant send me a DM asking if I would send them a voice [note].
“It was like, ‘What the f*ck?’ You guys, call me. You have my f*cking phone. Having your assistant reach out when you’re friends with somebody is so like… ‘who do you think you are, girl?’ Text me!”
Gottmik then claimed “They do it all the time”, to which Violet responded “I would never have my assistant or producer reach out to someone I consider a friend. It’s so weird.”
Bizarre! Interesting to see if Trixie or Katya respond to it all, or if Violet sent a voice note in for the podcast after all.
