Three Kaizer Chiefs players facing exit

With new players signed at Kaizer Chiefs, expect several exits in the coming days as the team travels to the Netherlands for their pre-season.

So far, Amakhosi have parted ways with five players since the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. The Soweto giants have also signed Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva and Nkanyiso Shinga in the process.

On Tuesday, the club announced that additional signatures are expected in the coming weeks. Amakhosi will travel to the Netherlands in a few days for their pre-season training, where they will play several friendly matches.

“Kaizer Chiefs will kick off the month of July by introducing three new players, with more signatures expected during this current window to strengthen their playing squad for the upcoming season,” Amakhosi media team confirmed.

“The technical team and management deemed it apt to strengthen the squad in different areas, from attack to defence, to ensure that the team is ready to tackle the challenging PSL season and the CAF Confederation Cup, kicking off in August.

“These first three signings and more that will follow reflect the Club’s commitment to improving the squad depth and overall performance for the 2025/26 season.

“The trio players will travel with the rest of the squad to the Netherlands for a pre-season training camp on Thursday, 3 July,” the statement concluded.

Which Kaizer Chiefs players are likely to leave?

Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari and George Matlou are the three players likely to leave. According to reports, Sam had left the club without having to kick the ball. No official announcement has been made but given the club’s new signings, it’s very likely that the former Orlando Pirates defender may have left Kaizer Chiefs.
