Sports will continue to impact soap schedules for the rest of this week.
And the start of next week!
As a result of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 coverage on ITV, Emmerdale will not be on screen for a little while. It’s frustrating for us soap fans, as we’re so used to sitting down at 7:30pm ready for another trip to the Dales.
We’re always ready to help you here at Metro, so here’s a handy guide for when Emmerdale is on over the next few days, and what to expect when we eventually return to the village.
When is Emmerdale next on?

The schedule for the soap for the remainder of this week and the start of the week commencing July 7 looks like this:
Thursday, July 3 – No episode
Friday, July 4 – No episode
Monday, July 7 – No episode
Tuesday, July 8 – 7:30-8pm
Wednesday, July 9 – No episode
Thursday, July 10 – 7:30-8:30pm
Friday, July 11 – 7:30-8pm
What has happened in Emmerdale this week?
We were introduced to two new characters this week, and they both caused a lot of trouble.
Ray (Joe Absolom) arrived in the village searching for Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). He had contacted Ray about selling some weed, but faced a nightmare when Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Lewis (Bradley Riches) said they were not selling the plants to a dealer.
Ross and Lewis later discovered the plants had disappeared. They immediately accused Ray of stealing them, but it was later revealed that Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was responsible.

Elsewhere, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) came across farm owner Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) while taking Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) into Hotten.
Disaster struck for Paddy when a stray dog approached from Celia’s land and attacked him. In the aftermath, Paddy attempted to confront her about it, but the new face ended up getting the upper hand, causing Paddy to run away in fear.
What will happen in Emmerdale next week?
Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) ends up back in hospital next week, days on from her hysterectomy.
There, she will emotionally tell Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that she still really wants to become a mum. Desperate to help her, Cain suggests they look at surrogacy.
Also, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) gets a shock when Doctor Crowley (James Hillier) returns, and Lewis gets a new job in the cafe.
