AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man from Columbia, South Carolina for several alleged offenses.
Reports say David Drake broke into a woman’s home on Gloucester Road around 3:00 am on June 24th.
Drake allegedly used zip ties to tie the victim’s hands behind her back and then reportedly strangled her to the point where she almost lost consciousness.
He’s in the Richmond County Jail charged with Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, and Burglary.
It’s unknown if Drake and the victim knew each other.
