Love Island 2024 star Patsy Field has called it “embarrassing” to work a “normal” 9-5 job, so instead of doing that she’s literally fleeing the UK. Instead of returning to a job over here, she’s going all the way to Australia instead.
Patsy was on the show last year, and was only in the villa for just over a week. However, she has said she’s found it hard to adjust to normal life again after the villa, and now doesn’t want to get a “regular” job in the UK.
“I probably will be looking for a job soon, but I’m planning on moving to Australia,” she told The Sun. “A year post-show… I don’t know if it comes with a little bit of embarrassment of looking for a normal 9-to-5 job. So I feel like if I move to the other side of the world and maybe find one over there, I might feel a bit better about it.”

She was then asked if following Love Island, she thinks she’s an “influencer”. Patsy said: “I don’t think I’m a very good influencer. I guess at the moment, yeah, you could say influencing – or just fun-employed, I think is the term, isn’t it?” Speaking of how she’s got on with working as an influencer since the villa, Patsy added: “I’ve done OK. I get by.”
Now, she’s planning on leaving it all behind for a job in Australia, away from the “embarrassment” of having a regular job in the UK. “I’ll just have a look on Indeed in Australia and see what’s going on,” Patsy explained.
“I used to work in administration, so I wouldn’t mind doing that again… if they’ll take me back into that industry. I don’t know if they’d want an ex–Love Islander now.”
