Novak Djokovic has revealed he is plotting a reunion with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal once the Serbian legend decides to hang up his racket.
Djokovic is the last Big Three star active on the ATP Tour with his former rivals Federer and Nadal having retired in 2022 and 2024 respectively.
The trio dominated tennis for two decades and Djokovic is keen to catch up with the two icons when the 38-year-old calls time on his own career.
Djokovic, who is attempting to land a historic 25th Grand Slam singles title at Wimbledon this year, spoke about both players after his second-round win over British star Dan Evans on Thursday.
‘Margaritas on the beach with Federer and Nadal’
Asked in his on-court interview if he had started reflecting on his career yet, Djokovic said: ‘I don’t pause to reflect. I don’t have time. Being on the highest level on professional tennis requires a lot of dedication.
‘I don’t play as much as I did before but the weeks I don’t play, I play at home with my kids. I don’t reflect fully on everything I have been through.

‘I would like to but I think that will come when I set the racquet aside and then sip margaritas on the beach with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and just reflect on our rivalry and everything.’
‘Reunion would be great for all three of us’
In his post-match press conference, Djokovic added: ‘I don’t know why I said margaritas – because I’ve never had a margarita in my life!

‘I don’t necessarily like that drink, but I guess it sounds good (smiling).
‘I do imagine that particularly the three of us, I mean, I do wish that one day we’ll, in a more relaxed environment, reflect on the rivalries and everything that we’ve achieved and made for this sport.
‘I think it would be great for us, and I think for all the other people knowing that we got together.’
Djokovic adamant he can go ‘all the way’
Djokovic faces fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic in the third round and ahead of that match, he’s full of confidence that he can go all the way and land his first Grand Slam title since winning the US Open in 2023.
‘If I play like today, I feel like I have a very good chance against anybody, really, on the Centre Court of Wimbledon, a place where I maybe feel the most comfortable on any court,’ Djokovic added.
‘Rod Laver Arena and Wimbledon Centre Court are the two courts where I’ve done so well throughout my career. I felt great physically, mentally sharp.
‘Game-wise, I’m playing as well as I can, really, on grass. So hopefully I can keep it up.
‘I met Gael Monfils in the locker room. He was waiting for his match. He kind of smiled at me and said, ‘Good day in the office’ – at this age, he said, We need those types of days.
‘Of course, it’s great. You want to keep on playing this way. It can be only one day, one match. Tomorrow or in two days can be a different story.
‘I don’t know. I’m trying to be cautious and keep it going. But yeah, aspirations and objectives are very high to go all the way.’
