Kaizer Chiefs shift focus to yet another striker target!

Kaizer Chiefs have already signed a striker during this transfer Window, but are not content with just one.

Chiefs recently confirmed the signings of six new players last week with more announcements expected soon at the Glamour Boys.

Chiefs have signed six players so far

Last week, Chiefs confirmed the three acquisitions of Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva and Ethan Chislett. All three players being formerly overseas-based players prior to joining Amakhosi. The latter on the list, an attacking midfielder had quite a few options to stay abroad, including English League One side Wigan and Scottish Premier League side Motherwell.

Chiefs were not done just yet, they then announced the former Orlando Pirates duo of Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane. The two defenders joining was perhaps the worst kept secret from the bunch, having reportedly signed their deals the earliest. They then added midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu from SuperSport United to that list. He became former Buccaneer number three to join the squad this window.

Interested in Mukwala from Simba

In that list, the only striker they have signed so far is Silva. With rumours of Etiosa Ighodaro’s move yet to be confirmed, Chiefs’ search appears to be continuing. Now according to Rwandan journalist Eric Ndagijimana, they are now interested in signing Simba SC striker Steven Mukwala. It is believed, however, that they face competition from North African sides!

 “BREAKING

Kaizer Chiefs have turned their attention to Simba SC strikers – Steven Mokwala. Moroccan side RS Berkane have tabled a bid! North African interest is growing fast” he posted on his official X account.

Chiefs currently Silva, Tashreeq Morris, Wandile Duba, Ashley du Preez and Naledi Hlongwane as striking options. Should both Mukwala and Ighodaro join, then at least one of the above could be offloaded to make way.
