People think Love Island’s Harry Cooksley is a “social experiment” after he was caught in an unprovoked lie about his deceased grandmother, something which was confirmed when his ex-girlfriend Emma entered the Casa Amor villa.
Sunday night’s episode of Ex on the Beach – sorry, Love Island – saw Harry’s ex, Emma Munro, enter the villa alongside Rheo Parnell, Andrada Pop, Yasmin Broom, Lucy Quinn, and Lauren Wood. But, amidst Harry catching up with his ex, people clocked the moment he outed himself as a liar in the worst way.
You see, when Harry entered the Love Island villa at the start of the series, he was asked to describe his apperence for people with visual impairment. These recordings are available online, and in them, Harry claims his “E” tattoo was a tribute to his dead nan, whose name presumably started with an E.

“I have one tattoo, on my left wrist, and it is the letter ‘E’. The letter ‘E’ is for my grandma, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago,” he said.
However, he soon told both Helena and Dejon that the “E” tattoo was for Emma, the girl he had dated (and cheated on) for four years. Dejon asked him if Emma was “this one”, pointing to the tattoo on his arm, which he confirmed.
So, which is it? A touching tribute to a dead relative OR a reference to a former girlfriend – it can’t be both.
People have been reacting to Harry’s ‘nan lie’ on Love Island
Harry lying about his tattoo being his dead nan’s initial but it’s actually his ex who’s coming in…I can’t look at him the same #loveisland

“He’s actually a once-in-a-lifetime contestant,” one person joked on TikTok as another said, “He is going to have a nightmare dream tonight, his grandma is going to scare him.”
Someone else wrote: “I’m sorry, but he cannot leave this season. He’s such a bad person, but he’s one of the funniest Love Island contestants ever, like actually, what is wrong with him.”
