Rulani Mokwena has opened up regarding a potential return to Orlando Pirates FC after parting ways with Wydad Athletic Club.
The former Bucs and Mamelodi Sundowns coach has been strongly linked with a return to Mayfair.
This comes after the Soweto giants parted ways with Spanish coach Jose Riveiro.
Mokwena, a fan of Orlando Pirates, has opened up on whether he’s ready to return to the club or not!

“Of course I would consider it (joining Orlando Pirates),” Mokwena said on the Soccer Africa show aired on SuperSport TV.
“It’s a big club, and it’s still got people that are very close to me and to my heart. I’m very fond of Dr. [Irvin] Khoza. He will always have a special place in my heart.”
Mokwena coached the Buccaneers for a total of 14 matches in 2019. During that period he managed to pick up just four wins.
Mokwena however has already tasted success in the PSL after guiding Mamelodi Sundowns to two league titles as a ‘solo’ head coach.
He’s reportedly wanted up north however his affection for Orlando Pirates could likely be a determining factor in his choice of his next club.
