A young footballer has died after being hit by a car while on holiday in Turkey, her parents have said.
Paige Bowyer-Walker had gone out with friends for a meal on the last night of their holiday in Kemer when she was struck by a car going ‘extremely fast’ on June 28.
The 20-year-old, from Gosport in Hampshire, needed emergency surgery suffering several injuries including a fractured skull.
After a week in a coma, her family said Paige died on Sunday, July 6.
Her devastated mum Niki Bowyer and dad Stu Walker paid tribute to their ‘beautiful girl’.

Niki said: ‘It is with a broken heart and deep regret that we announce the passing of my beautiful girl.
‘Her heart stopped beating at 8.30pm on the 6.7.25.Her poor little body suffered to much trauma – she just had enough.
‘We need to try and process how we’re going to do life without seeing our beautiful girl again.
‘Paige was loved and adored by so many and I know she felt the same about you all.
‘Fly high my beautiful girl, till we meet again. I will forever carry you in my heart.’
Her friend Emily Taylor set up a GoFundMe to support Paige’s medical treatment while she was in intensive care.

The pair became close playing for Gosport Borough Ladies Reserve Football team.
In an update posted on Wednesday, she said: ‘Unfortunately Paige’s body shut down and Paige passed away Sunday evening.
‘She spent the last few days of her life spent with her mum and dad who are totally broken.
‘Paige was told daily how much she was and is loved by everyone and how much support we were all sending her. She spent a week fighting for her life and now she is out of pain.’
The fundraiser has raised more than £8,00 from 300 donations, which will go towards ‘support[ing] the family’, Emily said.
