A young superyacht stewardess has been found dead with her throat slit inside the boat’s engine room during a Bahamas trip.
Paige Bell, 20, was found dead last Thursday while the luxury boat, Far From It, was moored on Harbour Island.
She was discovered partially undressed with wounds to her neck and injuries to her arms.
Boat engineer Brigido Munoz, 39, has been charged with her murder.
He was denied bail and remanded in custody.
Paige, from Johannesburg, South Africa, was due to turn 21 next week, with a celebration planned to mark her birthday on Monday.
She was reported missing while on the boat, with colleagues saying they had not seen her for some time.
Officers then discovered her in the engine room with Munoz who had injuries to his arm which police said are consistent with a suicide attempt.

Munoz was taken to hospital and later charged with her murder.
Far From It hosts up to 10 guests with nine crew members, and included five suites.
It costs between £100,000 and £120,000 per week for vacations.
Former colleagues from Motor Yacht Sweet Emocean, where Paige worked until December 2024, wrote on a tribute to her on a GoFundMe page.
They said: ‘Paige was more than a teammate, she was family.
‘Her radiant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless compassion made an unforgettable impact on everyone lucky enough to know her.

‘Whether it was long days at sea or quiet moments under the stars, she brought light and warmth wherever she went.’
Paige’s mum is now asking everyone to eat red velvet cake, which was daughter’s favourite, and share a photo in her memory.
The GoFundMe page, which has already raised $42,000 of its initial $16,000 target, included tributes from friends.
One described Paife as a ‘golden girl’, and described her death as ‘despicable’.
