AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Dave & Buster’s has been entertaining customers in the Garden City since they first opened their doors three years ago.
For this episode of “Your Hometown Road Trip,” the team stopped by and spoke with General Manager, George Dey to talk about what new features they have, how the community has treated the business, and more.
What is Dave and Busters all about?
“We’re running on our 3 year mark, it’ll be 3 years in a few days. We’re all about fun, all about eat, drink, play, watch, you can come in and watch the football game, have a cocktail, go play a game, and we have tons of new games coming out all summer long.”
What’s peoples reaction when they come in for the first time?
“It’s like a little kid in the candy story, they are wowed, they don’t know what to do. ‘Do I have some food, do I just go to the midway and have some fun?’ So that’s why we’re here to guide them in the right direction.”
How much has the community supported you these 3 years?
“Me personally being from Augusta, it’s definitely family for me. Just this past Saturday we hosted the Summer reading kick off for all the kiddos, great turnout, we have Goodwill, any kind of charity event, so anything that I can give back to the community we’re all about it.
You have a new ‘human claw machine’ game, talk about that.
“We have a lot of claw games, you’ll put your money in, you’ll try to get a prize with a mechanical claw. It’s only in about 170 stores, so it’s hopefully going to be national 100 percent. The closest to here is going to be Atlanta, so come on in.”
