ITHUBA, operators of the South African national lottery, are searching for the winner of a PowerBall Plus jackpot in November last year.
At the time of publishing, an amount of R2 284 810 has still not been claimed after it was won on 12 November 2024 by a player who bought his – or her – ticket in Mayfield Square in Johannesburg.
The winner only has until 12 November 2025 to do so before the 365 day collection period expires.
No sense to delay claiming
Considering the interest alone lost on that jackpot being claimed, it makes no sense whatsoever to delay claiming a lottery win.
Which of course raises the probability that the winning ticket has been lost – or the winner isn’t aware he or she did in fact hit the jackpot.
Tick tock!
