Everyone has their own tips and tricks to get comfy on a flight, but this travel influencer has been slammed for her “inconsiderate” hack.
Nicole Lazo shared a video on Instagram where she showed herself making a foot hammock out of the free blanket they often give you on long plane journeys.
“Try this on your next flight,” she said before showing a step-by-step guide that involved tying a knot in the blanket and then hooking it over the tray table.
“Travel hack alert,” the influencer wrote in the caption. “I used the free blanket they give you on the plane, but you can use any thin fabric, like a scarf.”
“I’ve never tried keeping my feet up like this before while travelling, but it really helped! I was super comfortable and slept great!”
The video has gone viral and she’s being slammed in the comments, with many claiming it’s totally unfair for the person sitting in the seat in front.
“That’s a disturbance to the person sitting on that seat. Not nice,” one person said. Another agreed that it looks like it’s “shaking the chair”.

“You will break the tray and the person in front can feel your movement. Not cool,” someone else commented.
Another said: “The flight attendants should stop this kind of inconsiderate act. Unless they are paying for the front seat too. Very inconsiderate.”
Others are concerned that the so-called flight “hack” is a major safety concern for the people in the seats next to her, who would be unable to evacuate in an emergency.
“I think it would be a safety issue for the other two passengers in your row,” someone else added.
Another asked: “If all the passengers do what they like to their seats with unauthorised evacuation obstacles, how fast can all passengers evacuate the plane safely?”
“Please send some safety awareness to re-educate passengers that safety should be put priority over personal comfort,” they continued.
It comes after this parent was slammed for letting their child wear a light-up hat that kept the entire plane awake on a busy night flight.
