Manchester United have added Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson to their list of striker targets this summer.
With Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves in June, United are still hoping to bring in Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford as part of a new-look attack for Ruben Amorim next season.
The club have also been keen on signing another striker after Liam Delap turned down a move to Old Trafford to instead join Chelsea.
Viktor Gyokeres, who shone under Amorim at Sporting CP, has been another target but the Sweden international has only had eyes for Arsenal with a move to north London now close.
Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike are other options under consideration.

But Sky Sports report United have joined the list of clubs monitoring Jackson’s situation at Chelsea, ‘keeping tabs’
While their current focus is on getting a deal for Mbeumo across the line, a deal for Jackson could also be explored before the start of the new season.
The Athletic meanwhile suggest there is also interest from Liverpool in the 23-year-old, with sporting director Richard Hughes a fan of his during his previous role at Bournemouth.

The Senegal international has been Chelsea’s leading striker the last two seasons, bagging 24 goals and 10 assists in 65 Premier League appearances.
The Blues have added two new strikers to their squad in Delap and Joao Pedro however with the former Brighton star making an immediate impression in his side’s Club World Cup triumph.
Their summer business has cast doubts on Jackson’s future with former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel insisting the former Villarreal star is now firmly third choice.
Chelsea are not actively looking to sell Jackson and would ideally like to start the new season with three strikers vying for the no9 role in Enzo Maresca’s starting XI.

But as was the case with Noni Madueke who is poised to join Arsenal, the right offers will be considered.
United meanwhile were woeful in front of goal last season with only Everton and the three teams relegated from the top flight failing to score more than them.
Cunha scored 15 Premier League goals for Wolves last season with Mbuemo bagging 20 – additions that would offer an instant improvement.
A striker to lead that attack would complete the overhaul. Rasmus Hojlund endured a dreadful second campaign in Manchester with just four goals in 32 league appearances.
United’s only other senior striker option in Joshua Zirkzee did not fare much better with just three in 32.
