The Lionesses’ ace player Alex Greenwood is vying to help England bring home the Euro 2025 trophy from Switzerland.
The athlete has major fan support, including from her long-term partner, who happens to be an ex-Premier League player too.
Alex will join her fellow Lionesses at in the Women’s Euro 2025 final on July 25.
On Tuesday, Sarina Wiegman’s spirited England fought back from a goal down against Italy to win 2-1 in extra-time and book their places at the final.
However, it wasn’t Alex’s best showing, beginning the first half by ballooning a wayward effort at Italy’s goal, so fans are hoping she’ll make up for it in Sunday’s match.
Still, the 31-year-old defender remains a fan favourite, and we’re sure partner Jack O’Connell will be cheering on from the stands as he has done for years.

Jack, 31, is a former Sheffield United centre-back and has been with Alex since they were in sixth form together.
The athletic couple grew up together in Merseyside and met at their sixth-form college Savio Salesian in Bootle after Jack earned a scholarship with Blackburn Rovers.
He told The Telegraph that the pair first got together when she sent him a text to wish him well in a trial at Everton, where Greenwood had played since the age of six, and they became an item soon after.
It was announced in July that Jack was retiring from his football career due to an injury.
They keep things fairly low-key, posting the occasional snap on Instagram amid all their footballing wins, although Jack has now retired due to injury.
Alex, however, shows no signs of stopping with the Lionesses storming into the spotlight with their Euros victory and now World Cup success.
‘I’m obsessed with football,’ said the Manchester City player to The Guardian last year.
‘Often, at home, all Jack and I talk about is football, we watch it and analyse it all the time. People ask what I do to get away from the game but I don’t want to escape it.’

Loved-up Jack told Sky Sports in 2023: ‘[I’m] really proud of her. I’ve been there from the very start. I used to go and watch Alex when she was 16. It’s unbelievable how far it’s grown now.
‘I’m her biggest critic as well. The standard that she sets herself, she has more to come.
‘I get goosebumps when I think about it but I think she’s one of the best centre-halves in the world and she still has gears to go through.’
