It appears Chris Hughes is done biting his tongue against backlash to his relationship with JoJo Siwa.
The Love Island star, 32, and Dance Moms alum, 22, have been a hot topic of gossip since getting together after meeting on the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Alas, sharing personal snaps galore from their getaways and giving the internet an intimate look into their romance has also led to trolling.
But Chris, who has already confessed to wanting to marry and settle down with JoJo after a month of dating, has had enough.
Taking to his Instagram Story this afternoon, the TV personality responded with a lengthy clapback after one commenter hit out at JoJo’s music career.
Named James, the individual’s bio says he works in music artist management. In his original comment, he made a sarcastic quip about JoJo’s community consisting of ’60 comments and 11 likes’, adding: ‘It’s no wonder the last single performed how it did’.

Going to town with his reply, Chris wrote: ‘I hate to be this person, but rn respectfully I don’t care. Trolls can be trolls, do your thing, whatever, carry on. They’ll always exist, they’ll always run with whatever narrative they want to push, and jump on bandwagons for social validation, you’re always going to have them.
‘This is different though, this doesn’t sit well with me and this is disturbing.’
He continued to say the man in question neither knows nor follows him or JoJo, yet ‘comes out of his way to [Chris’s] latest post, creates a thread of 100+ comments of hatred in a now deleted comment’.
‘The thing I find really ugly is that, through gritted teeth, this person is a music industry professional. Not your average troll, someone who’s worked with the likes of Modest, Global and so on, someone who has worked with artists and performers, understands the pressures, the industry, how rewarding and how tough it can be, yet feels completely comfortable to want to shame other people within their industry absolutely NEEDLESSLY, just off a couples Instagram post.’
‘I find it disturbing because it’s cowardly,’ Chris blasted. ‘It’s unprofessional and it’s rude and shock it’s now deleted, and I knew it would be, just gross. He tried to justify it being fine because the post popped up on his explore page. That was his validation.’
Concluding his rant, Chris addresses ‘James’ directly, saying: ‘I hope your fellow industry professionals don’t unnecessarily target you one day for absolutely no reason and try to belittle or put down your work, and I meant that. It’s not nice, it’s not pretty and it’s just not called for.’

In a declaration of his feelings for JoJo, he added: ‘Do better, just don’t come for my person in the way you have, unprovoked, on a professional scale or any other music artist for that matter. Thank you.’
Chris wasn’t done there, though, as the ITV Racing host also shut down commenters branding him ‘creepy’ for sharing a 10-year age gap with JoJo.
The presenter posted a carousel of pics to his 2.2million followers over the weekend from his latest trip to the States to spend time with JoJo and her family.
His snaps showed the lovebirds cuddling up by the pool, kissing on dinner dates, playing golf and tennis, and larking around in a water fight alongside the caption: ‘just everything 🤍 missing you🏌🏼♀️🫶🏼🏌🏽🎾🐕’
Taking issue with the post, however, a woman named Pauline wrote underneath: ‘Does anybody else find this creepy’.
Not mincing his words, Chris replied: ‘No Pauline, you’re miserable, p**s off kindly’.

After she retorted with, ‘lol we see how long it lasts’, Chris added: ‘Yeah again, you don’t need to speak, you don’t follow me, respectfully do one thank you.’
And it continued further, with a social media user named Liz seemingly accusing Chris of using JoJo for clout, writing: ‘Mate sort yourself out. You would do anything for fame’.
Jumping to defend him, a Chris fan responded with: ‘Oh Liz, imagine hating someone who’s just living and happy. Misery aren’t you.’
Liz replied: ‘I don’t hate anybody sweetheart I just live in the real world,’ provoking Chris to reply with: ‘The real world! online bullies are the real world apparently.’
Chris, who returned to the UK days ago to attend Jack P. Shepherd’s wedding, recently professed that he ‘can’t keep his hands off’ JoJo, as he gave his first interview on their romance.
Speaking to The Sun, he added that he tells the Karma hitmaker he loves her ‘every day’.

‘She’s the last person I speak to at night and the first I speak to when I wake up,’ he said.
‘I can’t explain it, but it’s a safe love. It’s like a natural high.’
As for JoJo, the feeling is clearly mutual, as she often refers to her boyfriend with the nickname ‘my sweet Christopher’.
She also told The Guardian that they have a ‘beautiful connection’.
‘I’m absolutely head over heels for him, and he’s the same way.’
