Kaizer Chiefs news: Players who left Naturena without kicking a ball

Kaizer Chiefs have had players who left their base in Naturena without kicking a ball in competitive matches over the years.

And it is slowly becoming a norm in recent years for Amakhosi to perhaps regret their transfer decisions.

On Thursday, Chiefs announced the departure of former Orlando Pirates left-back Bongani Sam.

Sam had joined Chiefs at the start of last season in what shocked many following his short stint with Moroka Swallows.

He was expected to revive his career at Naturena but things just did not go his way as he was plagued by injuries.

The South African takes a look at some of the players who left Chiefs without making their official debuts for the club in recent years.

Perhaps the exception would be that of late defender Luke Fleurs who was sadly gunned down a few months after joining Chiefs.
