Yungblud shared a final message for Ozzy Osbourne in an emotional Instagram post after attending the funeral for the Prince of Darkness.

The rocker died aged 76 on July 22, after a long ordeal with Parkinson’s and other health problems – though an official cause of death is yet to be announced.

The family confirmed the news of his passing just weeks after his final show, Back to the Beginning, in his hometown of Birmingham.

Following an emotional funeral procession through the streets of Birmingham – where his widow, Sharon Osbourne, was seen sobbing alongside their children – the Black Sabbath icon was buried in Buckinghamshire.

Among those reported to have attended was Yungblud, 27, who has had a longstanding friendship with the metal pioneer.

Taking to Instagram, the musician, real name Dominic Richard Harrison, shared a picture of the iconic crucifix Ozzy often wore that he passed on to him before his death.

yungblud Edited ? 5 m I didn?t think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room. But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don?t. I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough. You took us on your adventure - an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time.

A video from Ozzy’s final show of Yungblud gifting him another cross went viral online, with many saying how they were left in tears by the touching gesture.

‘Obviously, you gave me a cross, and I wanted to return the favor, so I made you something,’ he said, sharing a wooden box with the Crazy Train hitmaker.

‘Thank you, man, for everything. It’s an honour, man.’

He expressed to Ozzy how much he loved him, before reading the inscription on the jewellery: ‘I hope this brings you luck. Love Always, Dom.’

In an interview with NME, Yungblud explained how important it was for him to perform at Ozzy’s last show and addressed fan comments that the torch was passed from the iconic rocker to him.
