This is the first picture of a Saudi Arabian student stabbed to death after he moved to the UK to study foreign languages in Cambridge.
Mohammed Algasim, 20, from Saudi Arabia, who was on a 10 week placement studying on a foreign language course in Cambridge, was killed in an ‘unprovoked attack’, police said.
Police were called to Mill Park in Cambridgeshire at 11.27pm on Friday (1 August) with reports of violence.
Mr Algasim was pronounced dead at the scene at 12.01am (2 August).
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Tuesday however it is believed he was stabbed in an unprovoked attack.

A 21-year-old man, from Cambridge, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife in a public place. He is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today (4 August).
A 50-year-old man, also from the city, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He remains in custody.
