The ‘secret daughter’ of Freddie Mercury has made an emotional statement about her late father.

Following the death of the Queen frontman in 1991, the woman – who is known only as B – shared her words ahead of the publication of a book about her relationship with the Queen frontman.

In it, she says: ‘I didn’t want to share my Dad with the whole world.

‘After his death, I had to learn to live with the attacks against him, the misrepresentations of him, and with the feeling that my Dad now belonged to everyone.

‘I cried and mourned my Dad, while fans all around the world mourned Freddie. When you are 15 years old, it’s not easy.

‘I had to become an adult without him, and live all the structuring moments and events without his support.

‘For 30 years I had to build my life and family without him and accept that he wouldn’t be there to share the happy moments with us. For 30 years, while the rest of the world was reinterpreting Mercury’s life, his music and all that he had been, I needed to have my Dad just for me and my family. How could I have spoken before?’

The alleged daughter’s statement comes after Mercury’s former lover and close friend, Mary Austin, claimed she did not know that B existed.

Mercury famously had relationships with both men and women throughout his life, having once stated he was bisexual.

The ‘love of [his] life’, though, was Austin, whom he began dating in the early 70s and enjoyed a long-term romance with.

Austin, who inherited much of Mercury’s fortune and avoids the media, cast doubt on B’s book, which is called Love, Freddie, coming out in September.

B told the Daily Mail in response that: ‘I am devastated by Mary Austin’s alleged response. For 34 years, the truth of Freddie’s life has been distorted, twisted and rewritten, but she said nothing – with the exception of her comment about the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, which she called “artistic licence”.

‘Here, she has not yet read the book, yet she apparently makes this statement. I don’t understand why.’

B’s book discusses her birth a year after Bohemian Rhapsody became a hit in 1976.

She claims her rock star father allegedly fathered a child with another woman after striking up a brief fling with a pal’s wife.

After facing questions about the claims, Jones shared a defiant message on social media back in May.

‘To those “demanding” to see proof of a DNA test, otherwise they won’t believe it – please rest assured that the requisite verification was obtained, legal teams have been involved, but that such measures are private & not shared publicly. Thank you,’ she posted on X.

‘Before that comment, she had also shared: ‘I’m so grateful for all the love for my forthcoming book Love, Freddie! Pre-orders drove it to the top of THREE Amazon charts this w-e, & it’s not even out for another 12 weeks! Thank you all.

‘And to those insisting Freddie Mercury’s diaries were “faked with AI”, that his daughter “doesn’t exist! & that I’ve made the whole thing up: wait & see! His true story, told in his own words, is incredible. I love him all the more for it. You will too.’

Mercury died 34 years ago at the age of 45, his cause of death being bronchial pneumonia as a result of AIDS.

The We Will Rock You hitmaker had released a public statement just 24 hours earlier, confirming that he had tested HIV positive and had AIDS.
