Amy Bradley breakthrough as police officer claims to have seen her in ‘verifiable’ 2016 sighting

The Amy Bradley case may have had a breakthrough, as a police officer has claimed he might have seen her as recently as 2016. Prior to the Netflix documentary about her coming out, the last most notable potential sighting of Amy had been in 2005 – over 10 years before this.

What happened to Amy Bradley is back in conversation, following the release of Amy Bradley Is Missing on Netflix. Her disappearance from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 1988 has never been solved. Now, Amy’s brother Brad Bradley has shared details of some of the tips the family has had following the Netflix show.

In a new interview with SWNS, Brad Bradley has said investigators are currently looking into a new tip. He has said Herman Goilo – a former police officer from Curaçao – has provided a new lead in the decades-long search.

Brad has said two investigators travelled to Curaçao in November 2024 to speak with Goilo, who claims to have seen Amy there as recently as 2016, and says he knows people involved in her case.

“They are still talking to him,” Brad shared. “He’s told verifiable truths with verifiable lies mixed in. Hopefully something will come from it. I’d like to feel positive about it, but we’ve been told a bunch of crap by a bunch of people.”

Brad also said he believes this may be their final chance to find answers, and he is still urging the public to come forward with any information. “We do think she’s still alive,” Brad said. “My parents and I have always shared this gut feeling that she’s still alive. And I know that to a lot of people, they can’t relate to that feeling, but we’re not going to stop feeling that way unless we’re given a reason to.”

Brad Bradley has said the family has had “thousands” of tips, from all across the world. He confirmed the FBI is still investigating the case, and the family is working closely with a private investigator.

Prior to the Netflix series Amy Bradley Is Missing, the last noted sightings of Amy had been in 2005. This was when the Bradley family were sent photos of a woman called “Jas” on an escorting website, and another women claimed she may have seen Amy in a Barbados department store.
